CINNAMON COOKIES

Leia em PORTUGUÊS

I found this clever idea of piling up star shaped cookies to make Christmas trees, all over the foodie blogosphere, And I loved it! So, I chose a simple but delicious cinnamon cookie recipe to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

CINNAMON COOKIES

1/2 cup butter (100g)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
a pinch of salt

Put all ingredients in the food processor and process until a ball of dough forms. Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cut out stars of different sizes and arrange on baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 20 minutes. When it just stars getting golden on the edges, remove and cool on wire rack.

  7. Oh Renata, you have such a great eye for detail. The 3D design is fabulous and then the 'snow' on the tree is visually appealing! Love it, great work as usual.
