This is the quickest dessert ever! If you are still not sure whether or not to buy a blow torch for your kitchen because you will probably use it only every couple of years for Crème Brûlée, here is one more suggestion sure to impress your guests that can be made in a cinch! I found this idea HERE.
All you need are bananas and some sugar, and you won't even have to peel the bananas!
Cut bananas lengthwise and arrange them on a heat resistant plate. Bananas should be ripe but still firm.
Spread a thin and even layer of sugar on each half of the banana.
Use a blow torch to caramelize the sugar for a few seconds.
You can serve with cinnamon, ice cream, or whatever suits your fancy, but I have to say that on its own it is already very delicious!
The caramel forms a thin and crunchy layer that can be easily broken with a spoon.
