Just the other day I stumbled upon an amazingly easy and quick flour tortilla recipe that Amber of Sprinkled with Flour shared with her readers. I only adapted the recipe minimally by using 50% all purpose flour and 50% whole wheat flour thus resulting a slightly darker tortilla, and used butter instead of shortening. The recipe is a winner, a keeper, and it only takes little time to prepare. Take a minute to visit her blog, she has amazing photos and a step by step tutorial. I even photographed the tortillas in a similar way to emphasize their softness.
Amber, thanks a lot for sharing! I don't think I will be buying any more tortillas :o)
They do look wonderfully soft! I make corn tortillas all the time, but rarely the flour ones. Now I'm wondering what you served them with...
